TOWSON, MD – Seniors Jaida Scarborough and Tre Galloway III have been named the Goucher College Athletes of the week following their performances in Landmark Conference play last week.
Scarborough scored 11.5 points per game while dishing out 4.5 assists per game and collecting 3.5 rebounds per game. The senior guard was a menace on defense as well, accumulating 2.5 steals per game and four versus Susquehanna.
Scarborough and the Gophers travel to Bethlehem, PA on Wednesday to take on the Greyhounds of Moravian College at 7PM. In their first matchup of 2016-17, the Gophers were downed 72-66 at home. Scarborough scored 17 points and mustered seven rebounds, five assists and five steals in the game.
Galloway is being honored after scoring 13.5 points per game and totaling 11 rebounds, four assists and two blocks. The senior has averaged 11.6 points per game over the course of the season, but in the last five games has scored 15.6 PPG against Landmark opponents.
Goucher men’s basketball plays host to Moravian College on Wednesday when the Greyhounds come to the Decker SRC Arena at 7PM. The Greyhounds pulled out an 84-69 victory in Bethlehem when the two teams met back in January. Galloway scored 16 points in that game.
