TOWSON Md. – Junior Konrad Bulanowski (Philadelphia, Pa.) has been named the Goucher College Male Athlete of the Week following a stellar week for the men's soccer team.
The Gophers rattled off back-to-back wins against Hood and Susquehanna last week, increasing their record to 6-3-2 and 1-0-1 in Landmark Conference play. Goucher currently sits in second place in the standings with four total points, behind only Drew University.
Bulanowski was a catalyst on offense for the Gophers with six total points in two games. He earned his first two points against Hood College, earning two assists in the closing minutes of the game. In both instances he connected with senior Scott Mt. Pleasant (Clifton Park, N.Y.) for the goal. Goucher took home a 2-1 win in overtime on the road.
On Saturday, Bulanowski moved into the scoring role, netting two late goals to lift the Gophers over the Riverhawks, 3-2. It was the first Goucher College win over Susquehanna in men's soccer history. Bulanowski's first goal tied the game up in the 82nd minute while his second came off a penalty kick in overtime.
The Gophers are back in action on Wednesday when they travel to Washington, D.C. to take on the Cardinals of Catholic University at 4 p.m. in Landmark Conference play.
