TOWSON Md. – Senior Olivia Dickert (Montville, N.J.) has been named the Goucher College Female Athlete of the Week following a career-high performance on Saturday.
Dickert and the Gophers went 1-1 on the week, falling to Stevenson on Thursday, and taking down Randolph Macon 3-2 on Saturday. Dickert the catalyst that led Goucher to its second win of the season. Her first goal came in the 10th minute when fellow senior Kristen Shklanko (Huntington Beach, Calif.) ripped a shot that was saved by the keeper. Dickert was standing by and cleaned up the rebound for her second goal of the season.
Just over 10 minutes later, Dickert set a career-high in goals (2) when Madison Resolme (San Diego, Calif.) passed the ball to Dickert, who skillfully flicked the ball past the opposing keeper. The goal marked Dickert's third of the year, which gives her a career-high for goals in a season.
Dickert and the Gophers are back on the field on Saturday when they open Landmark play against Juniata on the road at 4:30 p.m.
