Goucher's 4 x 400 Relay Grabs Fourth Place

Litz Clears 13-Feet in Pole Vault for Second Time in 2009

CARLISLE, Pa. – Goucher had a relay place as high as fourth today at the Valentine's Day Indoor Invitational.

In the 4 x 400-meter relay, the foursome of Steven Tenure (Sudbury, Mass./Lincoln-Sudbury), Adam Scipione (Walpole, Mass./Walpole), Nicholas Stagno (Shaker Heights, Ohio/Shaker Heights) and Tade Ade-Turton (Ocean City, Md./Parkside) posted a combined time of 3:47.84, good for fourth place.

The only other event in which the Gophers secured points was the pole vault where Chris Litz (Bel Air, Md./John Carroll) cleared 13-feet for the second time this season to finish in eighth place and tie the indoor school record.

Zachary Martin (Victor, N.Y./Victor Central) turned in the second-fastest time in the history of Goucher's indoor track and field program in the 3,000-meter run. He completed the event in 9:49.68, good for 17th place.

Tenure was clocked at :08.78 in the 55-meter hurdles, which is the fourth-fastest time in that event in program history. He placed 11th overall.
