Pair of Relays from Goucher Place 11th Overall

4 x 400 Unit's Time Ranks Seventh Among Division III Entries

SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Both of the relays that Goucher entered at today's Susquehanna Indoor Invitational finished in 11th place.

In the 4 x 400-meter event, Dana Macaluso (Huntington, N.Y./Huntington), Sheba Newman-Blount (Lanham, Md./Bishop Ireton), Caitlin Biggers (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y./Lakeland) and Kanika Staten (Columbia, Md./Long Reach) posted a combined time of 4:31.72. In addition to placing 11th overall in a race that drew 23 participating foursomes, Goucher's 4 x 400 unit turned in the seventh-fastest time among the Division III entries.

Goucher's 4 x 800-meter relay was clocked at 11:45.36. It consisted of Alex Collis (Glenside, Pa./Abington), Hannah Southworth (Madbury, N.H./Oyster River), Biggers and Barb Koziel (Holland Twp., N.J./Delaware Valley Regional).
