Goucher Rider Earns Top Honors in Open Fences

Judges Award Second Place in Open Flat to Fink, Brandt

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – One Goucher rider earned top honors in open equitation over fences and two others were awarded second place in open equitation on the flat at today's second of two IHSA Zone IV Region I riding shows hosted by Mary Washington this weekend.

Cady Klimas (Miami, Fl./Palmer Trinity), who is currently tied for fourth place in the region's high point rider standings, took first place in open fences today. The second-place performances in open flat were by Julie Fink (Baltimore, Md./Garrison Forest School) and Amory Brandt (Saratoga, Calif./Lynbrook). Brandt has sole possession of third place in the high point rider standings.

Heading into the final show of the season that will be conducted at Garrison Forest School in Owings Mills, Md., on Saturday, Goucher is solidly in second place in the IHSA Zone IV-I standings with 199 points, despite placing fourth at today's show.
