Bobcats Never Trail in 3-1 Victory Over Gophers
Goal by Cadwallender Creates 1-1 Deadlock in Second Half

FROSTBURG, Md. – Goucher overcame a 1-0 deficit against
Frostburg St. by scoring a goal 10:24 into the second half. But
less than two minutes later, the Bobcats had regained the lead and
were on their way to a 3-1 triumph over the visiting Gophers.
The two teams combined to take only four shots in the first half, which ended with the Bobcats (5-2) ahead 1-0 thanks to an unassisted goal by Breanne Russell at 7:51.
The Gophers (4-3) pulled even when Mary Cadwallender
(Fredericksburg, Va./The Madeira School) tallied her
second goal of the season at 45:24, but the 1-1 tie lasted only
until an unassisted goal by Chelsea Smith at 46:57 put the home
team ahead to stay. A Rachel Merritt-to-Lindsey Frost goal at 54:35
provided the Bobcats with a 3-1 advantage.
