Two-Goal Deficit at Half Balloons to 7-0 Final
Koziel Matches Gosheff with 17th Career Defensive Save

SELINSGROVE, Pa. — Goucher surrendered two goals on eight
shots in the first half this afternoon, but that was just a
harbinger of things to come. In the second period, Susquehanna
unleashed a total of 15 shots and tacked on five more goals to
secure a 7-0 Landmark Conference victory over head coach Warren
Prestwich's Gophers.
Goals by Ally Bradley at 10:28 and Laurel Monaghan at 15:24 provided the Crusaders (5-8, 2-2 Landmark) with a 2-0 lead after 35 minutes. Bradley and Monaghan both scored again in the second half: Bradley's goal 2:03 into the period, which was assisted by Monaghan, put the Gophers (4-9, 0-4 Landmark) in a 3-0 hole, and by the time Monaghan notched her second goal at 66:05, Susquehanna was comfortably ahead 6-0.
Andrea Fiori, Julia Amendola and Heather Moore also tallied goals in the second half for the Crusaders.
The Gophers were outshot 23-2.
One highlight for Goucher: Barb Koziel (Holland,
N.J./Delaware Valley Regional) made a defensive save with
the score still tied at 0-0 in the first half, stopping a shot by
Andrea Fiori from becoming Susquehanna's first goal. It was
Koziel's team-leading third defensive save of the season and 17th
of her career, which moves her into a tie with Jeannie Gosheff
(1998-2001) for the second-most defensive saves in a career.
Goucher's all-time leader is Jen Madera (2003-06) with 25.
