TOWSON, MD – Senior Chris Outing has been named to the All-Landmark Conference Second Team following his performance during the 2016-17 season for the Gophers.
Outing led the team in points per game (15.9), rebounds per game (7.9), assists per game (3.8) and blocks per game (1.5) during conference play. Overall in the Landmark conference, he finished eighth in points per game, third in rebounds per game, sixth in assists per game and second in blocks per game.
The senior from New Windsor, NY accumulated a total of 322 points, 172 rebounds, 56 assists, 21 steals and 27 blocks over the course of 24 games in the 2016-17 season.
In his career, he has scored 761 points, wrangled 476 rebounds while collecting 98 assists, 50 steals and 82 blocks. His mark in blocks ranks second all-time at Goucher College.
The Gophers finished the season 5-20 overall and 2-12 in the Landmark Conference. Outing played an integral role in the program’s first-ever win over Scranton at home on January 14th, 2017. In that game he posted 19 points, seven rebounds and seven assists, leading the team to an 81-72 win at home.
Son of Donald and Sheila Outing, Chris is a communication major with a minor in art.
