Flamholtz Tallies Team-Leading Seventh, Eighth Goals

March 21, 2007 WHITTIER, CA — Only three Goucher players managed to score goals tonight as the Gophers suffered a 12-4 loss to Whittier.

Alan Tiet (Aurora, CO/Smoky Hill) tallied the Gophers' lone goal of the first period, which ended with the Poets (4-5) ahead 2-1. Whitter extended its lead to 5-2 at halftime as Goucher's seven shots in the second period produced only an unassisted goal by Brian Hoge (Crofton, MD/Arundel).

Dan Flamholz (Baltimore, MD/Park School) notched his team-leading seventh and eighth goals of the season in the second half for Goucher (1-4).

Anthony Lackey turned in an eight-point performance for the Poets as he scored four goals and was awarded four assists.
