PERRY, N.Y. — The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association, having already recognized both players for their performance on the field by placing them on its 2012 Division III All-America Team, today included Rory Averett (Ivyland, Pa./Council Rock North) and Matt Lynch (Ivyland, Pa./LaSalle College) among the 74 men's lacrosse players throughout the nation who were designated 2012 Scholar All-Americans.

TOWSON, Md. — Goucher's lead had shrunk to 9-6 early in the fourth quarter before head coach Kyle Hannan's squad scored three times on a two-minute, non-releasable unnecessary roughness penalty that was assessed to Washington & Jefferson. The three extra-man goals helped the Gophers achieve a 12-7 victory, spoiling the Presidents' debut in the Landmark Conference.
