FREDERICK, MD -- The Goucher College men's lacrosse team (1-0, Landmark 0-0) team started their season on a strong note, routing the Hood College Blazers 19-7.

The Gophers came out shooting early, scoring a quick first goal from senior Jake Ziegler (Buffalo, NY) two minutes into the game. Shortly after, the Blazers returned the favor with a goal from sophomore Grayson Zubradt. Goucher later capitalized on a last minute penalty before the end of the quarter, with a man-up goal from Mason Gorman (Boise ID).

Both teams were even in the third quarter tallying four goals each, making the score 12-6 going into the fourth. The Gophers proved to be too much ,scoring seven goals in a row over the span of 13 minutes.
