Website Recognizes Decker as All-Region
Senior Midfielder Makes All-South Region Third TeamNovember 22, 2006
TOWSON, MD — Goucher's Gary Decker
(Gambrills, MD/Archbishop Spalding) was recognized as an
all-region performer in 2006 today by the website D3kicks.com.
Decker was a third-team selection on the website's All-South Region
Team. The senior midfielder tallied six goals and handed out five
assists for a team-leading total of 17 points in his final season
with the Gophers.
Players recognized by D3kicks.com were nominated by sports
information directors from Division III institutions throughout the
nation. A first team, second team and third team was chosen for
each of the eight regions, with each team consisting of a
goalkeeper, three defenders, four midfielders and three
forwards.
Earlier, Decker was voted onto the 2006 All-Capital Athletic
Conference Men's Soccer Team as a first-team midfielder.
