TRAINING DESIGN
Proper training is the backbone of Goucher Soccer. Training
with a purpose and a desire to improve will drive players during
practice. It is important that the will to win shines though
the players in all facets of practice.
Training Schedule:
Practice will be broken down into three main segments:
1. Player Development - This time will be focused on individual training methods to increase the player's technical ability.
2. Team Tactics - This segment will use functional training and a strong emphasis on the ablility to execute within the team's system.
3. Competitive Play - This will bring out the competitive nature in the players as they strive to integrate the technical and tactical aspects of the game.
*Soccer related conditioning will
also be a part of the training.
