Pair of CAC Opponents Take Down Gophers
Verin Places Second in 200 Butterfly with Time of 2:14.19Dec. 1, 2007
YORK, Pa. - Goucher's Sasha Verin (Ellicott City, MD/Mt. Hebron) placed second in the 200-yard butterfly today at a triangular meet involving two opponents from the Capital Athletic Conference.
The Gophers (0-6), who left the CAC after a 16-year association to join the Landmark Conference in 2007-08, sustained a pair of losses, falling to York, 166-21, and to Salisbury, 160-28.
Verin completed the 200 butterfly in 2:14.19. The junior also
placed fourth in the 500 freestyle (5:24.25) and fifth in the 200
freestyle (1:59.90).
