Landmark Conference Recognizes Freshman Swimmer
Shalamanov Earns Honor with Multiple First-Place Performances

MADISON, N.J. – For placing first in three individual events
for Goucher in a meet against Catholic, freshman Georgi
Shalamanov (Velingrad, Bulgaria/St. St. Kiril &
Metodi) today was named Male Swimmer of the Week by the
Landmark Conference.
The honor covers the seven-day period which ended Sunday.
Shalamanov's first victory in the Gophers's 145-115 loss to the
Cardinals was in the 200-yard freestyle where his winning time was
1:52.53. He also touched first in the 100-yard butterfly (:56.72)
and 100-yard breast (1:05.10).
