TOWSON, Md. — Goucher came away with a total of 11 points in the 100-yard dash and a pair of relay events today on the way to a sixth-place finish at the 2013 Landmark Conference Men's Outdoor Track & Field Championships.

Will Evans III (Baltimore, Md./Overlea), who has been battling an assortment of injuries that prevented him from competing most of the outdoor season, earned four points for the Gophers by placing fifth overall in the 100 dash. He was clocked at 11.73 seconds.

Evans was the runner-up in the 100 dash at last year's conference meet.

Goucher's entry in the 4 x 100-yard relay also secured four points for a fifth-place finish. The foursome of Zachary Byrum (Stafford, Va./Brooke Point), Christian Ribeiro (Silver Spring, Md./Bethesda-Chevy Chase), Gillian Ziegler (Chestnut Ridge, N.Y./Green Meadow Waldorf) and Evans completed the event in 48.08 seconds.

The Gophers picked up their remaining three points in the 4 x 400-meter relay where the quartet of Byrum, Ziegler, Ribeiro and Leroy Williams (Baltimore, Md./Patapsco) posted a time of 3:54.51, good for sixth place.
