Chi Alpha Sigma Welcomes 20 from Goucher
TOWSON, Md. – Twenty student-athletes were inducted into Goucher's chapter of Chi Alpha Sigma, the first national society to honor collegiate student-athletes who have excelled in both the classroom and in athletic competition, during a ceremony conducted this evening in the Sports & Recreation Center.

TOWSON, Md. – Twenty student-athletes were inducted into
Goucher's chapter of Chi Alpha Sigma, the first national society to
honor collegiate student-athletes who have excelled in both the
classroom and in athletic competition, during a ceremony conducted
this evening in the Sports & Recreation Center.
In addition to the new inductees, another 13 individuals who were
part of the school's inaugural Chi Alpha Sigma class in 2008
maintained their membership in Goucher's chapter, which is one of
only six in the state of Maryland.
Founded in 1996, Chi Alpa Sigma recognizes college students who
receive a varsity letter in their sport while maintaining a 3.4 or
higher cumulative GPA throughout the junior and senior years.
Selection for membership is also based on excellent character and
citizenship.
