Tenure Places Fifth in Both Hurdle Events
Ade-Turton, Rooney Among Top 8 in 400-Meter DashMarch 22, 2008
TOWSON, Md. - Goucher's Steven Tenure (Sudbury, MA/Lincoln-Sudbury) placed fifth overall in both hurdle events today at the Towson Invitational.
The freshman completed the 110-meter hurdles in :17.97 and the 400-meter hurdles in 1:00.35. Goucher had a second entrant in the 400-meter hurdles: Brendan Ference (Smallwood, NY/Monticello) finished in 1:03.49, good for seventh place.
Tade Ade-Turton (Ocean City, MD/Parkside) placed fifth in the 400-meter dash (:53.75) and eighth in the 100-meter dash (:13.19); Charlie Rooney (Sea Bright, NJ/Christian Brothers Academy) placed eighth in the 400 (:54.88).
Chris Litz (Bel Air, MD/John Carroll) successfully cleared 11-feet, 5-inches to finish in eighth place in the pole vault competition.
