Ade-Turton Breaks 100-, 200-Meter Dash Records

4 x 400 Relay Places Fifth, Earns Four Points for Gophers

GRANTHAM, Pa. - Goucher's Tade Ade-Turton (Ocean City, MD/Parkside) broke a pair of outdoor school records today at the Messiah Invitational.

Ade-Turton's record-breaking performances were in the 100- and 200-meter dashes. He completed the 100 in :11.35, good for 10th place, and the 200 in :23.01, good for ninth place.

Goucher's 4 x 400-meter relay team of Ade-Turton, Steven Tenure (Sudbury, MA/Lincoln-Sudbury), Adam Scipione (Walpole, MA/Walpole) and Charlie Rooney (Sea Bright, NJ/Christian Brothers Academy) placed fifth with its time of 3:38.77.

With the four points the 4 x 400 unit earned for its fifth-place finish, the Gophers ended up in 19th place in the overall team standings.
