Litz Clears 11-6, Places Fourth in Pole Vault

Goucher's 4 x 100, 4 x 400 Relays Wind Up in Fourth Place

GETTYSBURG, Pa. - Chris Litz (Bel Air, MD/John Carroll) placed fourth in the pole vault competition, the highest finish by any Goucher athlete, at today's Mason-Dixon Invitational.

The freshman successfully cleared 11-feet, 6-inches.

Goucher also had two relays finish in fourth place: The quartet of Steven Tenure (Sudbury, MA/Lincoln-Sudbury), Brendan Ference (Smallwood, NY/Monticello), Charlie Rooney (Sea Bright, NJ/Christian Brothers Academy) and Tade Ade-Turton (Ocean City, MD/Parkside) completed the 4 x 100-meter event in :46.34; the same four also made up Goucher's 4 x 400 unit which turned in a time of 3:35.14.

Ade-Turton placed fifth in the 100-meter dash (:11.61) and Zach Martin (Victor, NY/Victor Central) took fifth place in the 3,000-meter steeplechase (11:41.49).

In the team scoring, Goucher finished in sixth place with 39 points.
