Wenzler Extends School High Jump Record to 5-8

Goucher Produces Runners-Up in Long Jump, 1500 Meters

YORK, Pa. – Goucher's Scott Wenzler (Larchmont, N.Y./Mamaroneck) set a new school record in the high jump at today's York Charity Open.

Wenzler cleared 5-feet, 8-inches to place third in the event.

The sophomore was also the runner-up in the long jump thanks to an effort of 19-feet, 3.5-inches.

Goucher also produced the runner-up in the 1500-meter run and the third-place finisher in the 200-meter dash. In the 1500, Adam Scipione (Walpole, Mass./Walpole) placed second with his time of 4:27.74 and, in the 200, Tade Ade-Turton (Ocean City, Md./Parkside) took third (:23.21).
