Macaluso, Newman-Blount Set New Indoor Records

Goucher's 4 x 800 Relay Finishes in 10th Place at Susquehanna Open

SELINSGROVE, Pa. - Dana Macaluso (Huntington, NY/Huntington) and Sheba Newman-Blount (Lanham, MD/Bishop Ireton) both broke indoor school records while competing for Goucher today at the Susquehanna Open.

The new record set by Macaluso was in the 200-meter dash where she placed 10th with her time of :27.46.  For Newman-Blount, it was in the triple jump, where her leap of 33-feet, 4-inches landed her in 11th place.

Goucher's 4 x 800-meter relay composed of Becky Foner (Cape Elizabeth, ME/Cape Elizabeth), Kate Young (Ithaca, NY/Ithaca), Hannah Southworth (Madbury, NH/Oyster River) and Samantha Solomon (Columbia, MD/Oakland Mills) turned in a time of 12:06.12, which was good for 10th place.
