Swan Earns Recognition from Landmark Conference

Senior's Double-Digit Scoring Streak Now Stands at 58 Games

MADISON, N.J. - Goucher's Shadae Swan (Baltimore, MD/St. FRances Academy), who earned  a spot on the all-tournament team at the Purple & Gold Poets Classic for her performances in games against Whittier and Keene St., today was named Women's Basketball Player of the Week in the Landmark Conference for Dec. 31-Jan. 6.

Selections for Player of the Week are made by the conference office based on nominations from the sports information directors at the eight member institutions. 

Swan was the Gophers' leading scorer in both games and has now tallied at least 10 points in 58 consecutive games dating back to the 2004-05 season. She contributed 19 points, six rebounds, two assists and a steal to Goucher's 58-56 victory over the Poets in the tournament's opening round; against the Owls, she finished with 26 points, three rebounds and three assists.

In the two games, the senior guard was 19-for-38 from the field (.500), including 5-for-11 from three-point range. 

Swan is the leading scorer in the Landmark Conference, averaging 22.9 points per contest.
