TOWSON, Md. — Goucher women's basketball head coach Didi Cotton joined the growing number of coaches across the country supporting the #Chillin4Charity initiative this morning.
The movement, which was created to raise money for the Kay Yow Cancer Fund, was started by Arizona women's basketball coach Niya Butts and it requires the coach to get doused by a cooler of water. After that, the coach challenges three others to participate in the challenge. Those which accept are asked to donate $50 to the fund, while those that are not up for the drenching are asked to give $250.
Cincinnati head women's basketball coach Jamelle Elliott recently participated in the initiative, and she challenged Cotton, Temple coach Tonya Cardoza and Connecticut Hall of Fame coach Geno Auriemma to do the same.
As seen in the video below, Cotton was up to the task. She also passed on the challenge to three of her Landmark Conference colleagues: Moravian head coach Mary Beth Spirk, Drew head coach Brittany Gaetano and Susquehanna head coach Jim Reed.
