Gophers Bow to Shorewomen, 4-1

Moser Tallies Team-Leading Seventh Goal

CHESTERTOWN, Md. - Dee Moser (Stroudsburg, PA/Stroudsburg) tallied her team-leading seventh goal of the season today, but it turned out to be the only goal Goucher was able to muster in a 4-1 loss to Washington (Md.).

The Gophers (3-7) were trailing 3-0 when Moser scored at 60:29. The senior midfielder has scored at least one goal in six of the 10 games the team has played so far this season.

The Shorewomen (1-10) got on the scoreboard less than two minutes into the contest thanks to a goal by Megan Russell. Sarah Yarbrough's goal at 32:46 staked the home team to a 2-0 lead at halftime.

Allie Snyder (60:13) and Katie Weida (71:26) accounted for the two goals in the second half for Washington, which finished with a 31-7 edge in shots.
