Gophers Take Shots at Three Goalkeepers
Matthews Faces 21 Shots, Makes 12 Saves in 3-0 Setback

TOWSON, Md. – Three goalkeepers combined to make five saves and prevent Goucher getting on the scoreboard today as the Gophers were handed a 3-0 loss by Bryn Mawr.
Despite being outshot 21-10 in the contest, the Gophers (1-4) had some opportunities to score. Rebecca Joseph started in goal for the Owls and made two saves while playing the opening 33:11. Allaina Propst took over, finished the first half and remained in goal into the 76th minute, and was credited with two saves. Emily McBride took over and turned away a fifth Goucher shot on goal during the final 14:25.
Kellen Matthews (Northboro, Mass./Algonquin Regional) went the distance in goal for the Gophers and finished with 12 saves.
The Owls (5-1-1) took a 1-0 lead on a goal by Laura Costanzo at
5:00, went ahead 2-0 on a goal by Katharine Seto at 18:19 and added
a third goal by Veronika Mohr at 24:47.
