Goucher Falls to Drew in Season Finale

MADISON, N.J. - The Goucher Women's Soccer team (7-9-2, Landmark 0-7) lost a tight game today at Drew University by a score of 1-0.

Drew scored in the opening minutes of the game on a goal by Sarah Racine who scored off a deflected cross, ultimately making that the lone goal of the game.

Goucher battled back to try to even the game up and almost got the equalizer on a free kick off the head of Isabel Suazo (Brooklyn, N.Y.), but the ball hit the crossbar and the Gophers were unable to capitalize on the rebound.

Goucher threw numbers forward at the end of the game in an attempt to tie, but in the end the push wasn't enough.

Goalkeeper Erica Bulzomi (Syosset, N.Y) kept the Gophers in the game by making 6 saves.

This contest marked the last game for Seniors Sara Kast (Fresno, Ca.), Bri Hite (Port Republic, Md.), and Sasha Jiminez (Wellington, Fl.). Both Kast and Hite accounted for 2 of the Gophers 4 shots on goal in today's matchup.
