Goucher made a significant contribution to its women’s
soccer program in 2007 by elevating Tati Korba to a full-time
position as head coach. Korba, who joined the school’s
coaching staff prior to the 2005 season and served in a part-time
capacity as head coach for two years, is the first full-time head
coach in the program’s 18-year history.
Korba began her coaching career in 2001 as an assistant in the
women’s soccer program at Skidmore College in Saratoga
Springs, N.Y. The following year she became head coach and guided
the Thoroughbreds to their first winning record in six years.
Korba is a 2000 graduate of Hobart and William Smith colleges. In
addition to being a starter in 1997 when William Smith’s
Division III women’s soccer team finished second in the
nation, she was named a Division III All-American by the National
Soccer Coaches Association of America as a senior.
