Landmark Conference Issues Academic Honor Roll
MADISON, N.J. — The Landmark Conference, which is in its third year of competition and is comprised of eight like-minded institutions in the mid-Atlantic region, today recognized 369 student-athletes for their academic accomplishments by placing them on the on the 2009 Fall Landmark Conference Academic Honor Roll. Goucher Lands Two Juniors on All-Landmark Team
MADISON, N.Y. — Kellen Matthews (Northboro, Mass./Algonquin Regional), who has been Goucher's starting goalkeeper in every game the past three seasons, and Sisley Pumilia (Spofford, N.H./Keene), one of the all-time leading scorers in the history of the school's women's soccer program, are both second-team selections on the 2009 All-Landmark Conference Women's Soccer Team. Matthews Makes 15 Saves, 50th Consecutive Start
TOWSON, Md. — Kellen Matthews (Northboro, Mass./Algonquin Regional), who was starting her 50th consecutive game in goal for Goucher, had frustrated Scranton all day, making some spectacular saves to ruin some excellent scoring opportunities. But in the contest's 88th minute, the Royals finally solved the junior netminder and came up with the goal that provided them with a 1-0 Landmark Conference victory over the Gophers this afternoon.
