PLAYER DEVELOPMENT:
Every fall Goucher faces a competitive schedule as a member of the
Landmark Conference where postseason play within the conference and
the NCAA Tournament are always a goal. The off-season program
includes team run practices, speed and agility work, individual
training, lifting, and maintaining a strong fitness base. The
NCAA-allowable 5-week spring developmental season focus is on
individual and small sided training. The program works throughout
the year to build and develop leadership at all levels.
Training sessions are designed to build players at the individual
level and, at the same time, create and develop team play. Small
group work and shadow play allow us to further our tactical
understanding, while individual and specific role play allows us to
elevate our technical game.
