Natoli Earns Honor as Week's Top Performer

Junior Touches First in 200 IM, 200 Back as Gophers Secure Two Wins

MADISON, N.J. - For her performance at a triangular meet involving two other Landmark Conference schools, Goucher's Bethany Natoli (Alexandria, VA/O'Connell) today was selected as the conference's Female Swimmer of the Week for Jan. 14-20.

For starters, Natoli swam the opening leg on Goucher's victorious 200-yard medley relay, helping the Gophers grab quick 7-0 leads over both Drew and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy. The winning time in the 200 medley relay was 1:59.62.

After that, the junior placed first in the 200-yard individual medley and the 200-yard backstroke. She recorded times of 2:28.71 in the 200 IM and 2:23.62 in the 200 back.

The Gophers (5-6) went on the defeat the Rangers, 55-39, and the Mariners, 65-41.
