Women's Tennis Opens Spring Break Trip

ORLANDO, FL – The Goucher College women's tennis team opened its Spring Break trip with a 9-0 loss to St. Mary's (Ind.) in Orlando, FL.

Freshman Mandile Mpofu (Harare, Zimbabwe) and senior Leigh Oehrig (Woodbine, MD) took their matches to the third set at No. 1 and No. 3 singles, respectively. Mpofu dropped the first set 6-3, but rallied to earn a 7-5 win in the second set to create an opportunity for the win, but was unable to capitalize. Oehrig won the first set over Sam Setterblad, 6-2, but dropped the next two sets 3-6 and 0-1 (7-10).

6. Elizabeth Preister (SMC) def. Mackenzie Donohue (GOUW) 6-1, 6-0
