Landmark Recognizes Phillips for Fourth Time in 2011-12

Latest Honor for Performance at Susquehanna Invitational

MADISON, N.J. — For the second week in a row and the fourth time so far during the 2011-12 indoor track season, Goucher's Destiny Phillips (Washington, D.C./Dunbar) has been chosen Female Indoor Track Athlete of the Week in the Landmark Conference.

The latest honor, announced this morning, is for Feb. 6-12 and is based on the freshman's performance at the Susquehanna Invitational where she placed first and set a new school record in the 60-meter hurdles with her winning time of 9.14 seconds.

Phillips also finished in a tie with Moravian's Brielle Sutter in the high jump competition, with both athletes going out at 4'7.75", and ran the final leg on Goucher's entry in the 4 x 200-meter relay that set a new school record with its time of 1:52.45, good for second place.
