Smith Finishes 100 Dash in :12.74, Good for First Place
Porter Posts Career-Best Time of 1:13.65 in 400 Hurdles
YORK, Pa. —Both of the runners Goucher sent to the York Twilight Meet performed well.
Kamillah Smith (Northampton, Mass./Amherst Regional) turned in the fastest time this evening in the 100-meter dash to finish in first place. She was clocked at 12.74 seconds, which is both the fourth-fastest time in the event in the history of Goucher's outdoor women's track and field program and the second-fastest by any female from the Landmark Conference this season.
Smith also competed in the 200-meter dash and finished with a time of 27.14 seconds, good for fifth place.
Jewell Porter (Silver Spring, Md./John F. Kennedy) was entered in the 400-meter hurdles, which she completed in a career-best time of 1:13.65. The senior took second place.
