Shaw Crosses Finish Line in 66th Place Overall

Young Follows in 85th Place at Waynesburg Invitational

TOWSON, Md. –Katie Shaw (Albuquerque, N.M./The Bosque School) was the first of the four Goucher runners who competed in the Waynesburg Invitational today to cross the finish line.

Shaw completed the 6,000-meter race in 26:32, good for 66th place overall.

Goucher's next runner was Kate Young (Ithaca, N.Y./Ithaca) in 85th place with a time of 27:20.

The final two Goucher runners came in back-to-back: Chiara Collette (Jakarta, Indonesia/Jakarta International School) in 117th place (31:05) and Hannah Southworth (Madbury, N.H./Oyster River) in 118th place (31:10).

With only four runners, Goucher did not receive a team score.
