NOTES: Goucher and Sewanee have never met in field hockey...Friday's game marks the Goucher debut for first-year head coach E.A. Jackson...the Gophers have a total of nine new players this season joining seven returners...Sewanee is coming off a 2-12 2022 campaign...Tigers assistant coach Michelle Dombrowski is a 2011 inductee into the Goucher Athletic Hall of Fame...she is the field hockey program's all-time leading scorer and was also an All-American in lacrosse.

NOTES: Goucher is 4-2-1 against the Highlanders all-time...last season the teams played to a 3-3 draw at Beldon Field...Goucher is coming off a 10-4-6 2022 season, while Cairn finished last season 9-6-5...the Gophers were selected sixth in the Landmark Conference preseason poll.
