TOWSON, Md. — Goucher entered this afternoon’s home opener against Scranton having never defeated the Royals in a dual meet. Three pool records and eight race victories later, that stat is now a thing of the past.
ST. MARY’S CITY, Md. — Goucher won five of the 11 races contested at today’s tri-meet against host St. Mary’s (Md.) and Marymount (Va.). Those victories helped the Gophers to a 131-74 triumph over Marymount, while St. Mary’s was able to defeat to hold off Goucher by a 117-88 margin.
TOWSON, Md. — Out of all the individual points the Goucher men’s and women’s swim teams earned at last season’s Landmark Conference Championships, all but five of those points came from swimmers who will be back in the pool for the Gophers in 2014-15.
