Goucher finishes Fifth Out of Eight Teams  at Cross Country Classic

BALTIMORE, MD. - Once again, the Plebe team from the United States Naval Academy easily won the 2016 Goucher College Cross Country Invitational,  placing most of their runners in the top ten finishers and scoring a low of 18 team points.  Led again by 1st year runner Jason Higginbotham (Brunswick ME ) who finished twelfth, Goucher’s men’s cross country team finished in fifth place.  The team finished three points behind McDaniel College who finished fourth.   Another Gopher  first-year runner, Joel Nadler (Metuchen, NJ), had a strong showing and finished  21st . The Gophers other top runner, sophomore  Sean O’Flaherty (Hinsdale. IL) injured his ankle on the course and did not finish.
