Gophers Defeat Lions, Snap Four-Match Skid
Team Serves 18 Aces, Opponent Commits Seven Service Errors

LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. – Goucher snapped a four-match losing streak this evening with a 3-0 victory over Lincoln.
Set scores were 25-11, 25-13, 25-23.
The Gophers (11-14) earned exactly one third of their points directly off serves as they unleashed a total of 18 aces and the Lions (6-14) committed seven service errors.
Claire Sauvage-Mar (New Delhi, India/American Embassy) served seven of Goucher's 18 aces and led the team in assists (19) and digs (11). Catie Ditmore (Santa Barbara, Calif./Laguna Blanca) finished with eight digs, six kills and six service aces.
The win was Goucher's second over Lincoln this season. Back on September 23, the Gophers defeated the Lions, 3-0 (25-22, 25-13, 25-21), in the Sports & Recreation Center.
