NEW ORLEANS, La. Goucher's women's cross country program was recognized today by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association for the academic accomplishments of its student-athletes in 2009.
MADISON, N.J. The Landmark Conference, which is in its third year of competition and is comprised of eight like-minded institutions in the mid-Atlantic region, today recognized 369 student-athletes for their academic accomplishments by placing them on the on the 2009 Fall Landmark Conference Academic Honor Roll. Forty of the honorees are from Goucher.
WASHINGTON, D.C. Had Goucher's Hadley Couraud (East Lansing, Mich./East Lansing) finished today's race in the same time she did when she ran earlier this month on the same 6,000-meter course on the campus of the U.S. Armed Forces Retirement Home, she would have placed 22nd. Instead, she lowered her time by more than :48, which was good for 11th place overall at the 2009 Landmark Conference Championship.
TOWSON, Md. Goucher's Hadley Couraud (East Lansing, Mich./East Lansing) was the runner-up today in the 2009 Goucher Cross Country Classic, finishing less than 11 seconds behind Melody Parshall from York.
WASHINGTON, D.C. With freshman Hadley Couraud (East Lansing, Mich./East Lansing) crossing the finish line in fifth place and senior Katie Shaw (Albuquerque, N.M./Bosque School) just four spots back in ninth place, Goucher was able to hang on to third place at today's Catholic Invitational.
YORK, Pa. Freshman Hadley Couraud (East Lansing, Mich./East Lansing) became only the sixth runner in the history of Goucher's women's cross country program to complete a 5,000-meter race in under 21 minutes when she turned in a time of 20:53.92 today at John Rudy Park in the York Invitational.
