NEWVILLE, Pa. - The Goucher College men's and women's cross country teams participated in the 2018 Dickinson Long/Short Invitational on Saturday, which was held on a course at Big Spring High School.
On the women's side, the Gophers were able to log an eighth-place finish on the day as a team.
Leading the way for the Gophers was first-year Laila Hanson (Churchville, Md.), who finished 24th overall after crossing the finish line in 24:45. Elsewhere, sophomore Eva Bulson-Lewis (Minneapolis, Minn.) placed 47th (28:19) and senior Hannah Brogan (Chatham, N.J.) (29:22.58), who was 51st overall.
For the men's team on the afternoon, senior Sean O'Flaherty (Hinsdale, Ill.) had the team's highest finish in the long race, placing 51st with a time of 31:25. The Gophers' only other finisher on the long course was Connor Lawrence(North Potomac, Md.), who placed 58th in 32:98.91.
The Goucher College women's and men's cross country team returns to action on Saturday, Sept. 29, as they head to Salisbury for the Don Carhcart Invitational.
