Goucher Athletics Announces Fall Content And Fall Premiere Week
BALTIMORE, Md. – Goucher College Athletics is proud to announce its Fall Premiere Week (September 7-11) content. While we wish that we were playing sports in the fall, we hope to provide the athletics website and social media with daily content until we return to action on the competition field.
Every week during the fall fans will be able to vote for an All-Decade Team for a specific sport. Voting will take place only through the Goucher athletics website, but the links to vote will be also available through our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram outlets. To be eligible for the All-Decade Team, a student-athlete must have competed for at least one season between the 2010 and 2019 seasons. They also must be a Goucher College graduate or are still enrolled at the college. In addition, only the statistics during the years of 2010 and 2019 are eligible so statistics that occur before the year 2010 or after the year 2019 do not count toward the All-Decade team vote.
Each Monday we will unveil a ballot and fans will be able to vote for that sport until Friday at 9 a.m. The All-Decade team through fan votes along with some input from athletic administration and coaching staff will be announced on Friday afternoon. Field hockey will be the first team to have its ballot unveiled on Monday. The full All-Decade weekly schedule is at the bottom of this release.
Student-athletes have several components to their collegiate life. They are athletes and we promote what occurs on the competition field. They are also students working hard to excel in the classroom and every Tuesday we will feature two student-athletes who excel academically as Scholar-Athletes Of The Week.
Over the past year, we have posted several written features on student-athletes with some written by our students. We will continue to share great stories in the fall on Wednesdays with Feature Wednesday.
The Gophers joined the Landmark Conference in 2007-08 and we have been a proud member of the conference since that time. Every Thursday in the fall we will look at great moments that happened during the cross country, field hockey, men's and women's soccer and women's volleyball past seasons during the week since we joined the league. We will look back at events that occurred in Goucher Athletics for the week of September 7-13 from 2007-19 on September 11.
On Tuesday we unveiled our question and answer (Q&A) series on our graduate assistants/assistant coaches along with quote-story graphics on social media and we will continue that series in the fall. We will also continue our Alumnae/I Spotlight. If you are an alum who wants to share your story, please fill out our Q&A questionnaire.
Over the summer we worked with our student-athletes to produce the "Pose Challenge" for our social media outlets. We will continue to produce great social media content in the fall to feature our outstanding student-athletes!

We will not conduct a vote or announce an All-Decade team for men's and women's golf since their inaugural season was 2017-18.
