Goucher To Be Featured On Landmark Conference Outlets December 14-18

BALTIMORE, Md. – Goucher College Athletics will once again be featured on the Landmark Conference website and social media outlets for the week of December 14-18. 

On Monday, the conference will feature two of our student-athletes talking about experiences in internship or clubs with men's tennis player Brian Kane (Philadelphia, Pa./Friends Select) and men's lacrosse player Eric Conaway (Baltimore, Md./Cristo Rey Jesuit).

Field hockey head coach Stacey Eversley will be featured in Wednesday Wisdom on the Landmark Conference social media outlets three times discussing her favorite quote, best advice and why Division III.

The Alumni Thursday feature will talk about the Goucher connection of freshman women's soccer player Belle St. Jean. Belle's father, Jim, and her uncle, Dave, both played on the Gophers men's soccer team in the 1990s when the team was a member of the Capital Athletic Conference. In addition, Dave's wife, Cherie, is also a graduate of the college and was a statistician for the men's soccer and men's lacrosse programs.

Volleyball and women's tennis freshman Paige McSavaney (Boulder, Colo./Peak to Peak Charter School) will tackle a Q&A on Friday for Freshman Friday. McSavaney will discuss why she chose Goucher, how she started playing sports, role model, dream vacation, hidden talent and favorite holiday.

This is the second week that Goucher will provide content for the Landmark Conference. The Gophers were also featured for the week of October 12-16 with focus on field hockey player Devin Brashear (Escondido, Calif./San Pasqual), women's soccer player Caroline Altman (Las Vegas, Nev./Adelson Educational Campus), women's lacrosse player Amaya McNear (Columbia, Md./Howard), men's tennis head coach Eric Spangler and men's soccer graduate Justin Holbrook.

During the week, Goucher will also wrap up its content for the fall semester. We have concluded the All-Decade votes for all of the teams, but you can check out all the results HERE. We will have our final Scholar-Athlete of the Week feature on Tuesday. We will switch Feature Wednesday to Thursday with the release of the St. Jean feature, and This Week In Landmark Conference History will move into the Wednesday timeslot its final edition of 2020.
