LETTER TO PROSPECTIVE STUDENT ATHLETES
Dear Prospective Goucher Gopher,
I am excited to learn of your interest in Goucher College and our Women’s Basketball program! It is my goal for you to gain a better understanding of our program by reviewing the Program Philosophy, Coaching Philosophy, and The Road to Becoming a Gopher. If you have further questions, do not hesitate to contact me or a member of the staff to address your concerns.
I am a proud GOPHER and my commitment to this program dates back
to my days as an undergrad. It is my goal to prepare our student
athletes for life experiences beyond Goucher, as well as lead the
program into competitive excellence. We expect to be a contender in
the competitive Landmark Conference and compete for NCAA
Championships in the future.
Presently we are building a solid foundation as our program
continually grows year to year. We recognize the importance of
instilling a strong culture which takes pride in creating a legacy
of its own, one that we can all be proud of. Eagerly we approach
the upcoming season, returning 9 letter-winners and adding a solid
group of talented freshmen. Although we will still be a fairly
young team and will depend on our incoming players to help us make
great strides, we are excited about our bright future and the
possibilities! You can smile and feel secure in that the class of
2010 will indeed have an immediate impact, and cement another
building block for success!
If you are strongly interested, now is the time to research our
program and college to ascertain if we are the right fit for you.
While I know you have a burning desire to be part of a great
program, it is important to me that we make sure this is the best
place for you. I look forward to hearing from you and I wish you
