Bull Earns Landmark Athlete of the Week Honors
Junior Briana Bull has been named the Landmark Conference Athlete of the Week for women’s basketball.
TOWSON, MD – Junior Briana Bull has been named the Landmark Conference Athlete of the Week for women’s basketball.
Bull is being honored following two stellar performances during the week and surpassing multiple milestones. The most prominent of those milestones came on Wednesday when the junior guard scored her ninth point against Moravian in the first half to surpass 1,000 career points at Goucher. She went on to score 20 more points throughout the game and moved into 10th place in all-time scoring at Goucher. She currently has 1,039 career points; only 18 points behind 9th all-time, Amber Smith (’10), with 1,057.
In the game against Drew on Saturday, Bull scored 19 more points and dished out five assists while nabbing three steals. Her five assists helped her to pass 200 in her career (204). By accumulating three steals in the game, she passed 200 in the category and tied Maren Hill (’03) for fifth in all-time steals at Goucher (201).
During the two games, she averaged 24.0 points, 12.0 rebounds, 4.0 steals and 3.5 assists.
Over the course of the season, Bull ranks first in the conference in steals (78) and steals per game (4.1) while ranking second in points per game (20.8), rebounds (203) and rebounds per game (11.3).
In the nation, Bull currently ranks fifth in steals (78), sixth in field goals made (160), 10th in steals per game (4.1), 12th in defensive rebounds per game (9.0), 17th in points (391), 21st in double-doubles (11) and 24th in points per game (20.6).
Bull and the Gophers are back in action on Wednesday when they welcome the Cardinals from Catholic University to the Decker SRC at 7PM.
