Jack Hodges is Named Landmark Conference Athlete of the Week
Junior Jack Hodges (London, England) has been named the Landmark Conference Athlete of the Week after opening Landmark play with wins at No. 1 doubles and singles.
TOWSON, Md. – Junior Jack Hodges (London, England) has been named the Landmark Conference Men's Tennis Athlete of the Week after opening Landmark play with wins at No. 1 doubles and singles.
Hodges and senior Midori Fujitani (Tokyo, Japan) opened the Landmark season with a dominating win, 8-2, over their opponents Ryan Seibert and Ben Ornstein of Susquehanna University. The win marks their 33rd win together since they paired up for the first time during the 2014-15 season - a Goucher College school record.
Hodges also went on to win singles play 6-1, 6-1 over Susquehanna’s Ornstein. The win marks his 36th win for the Blue & Gold in singles play and his 17th win at No. 1 singles.
Hodges and the Goucher men’s tennis team will have an action packed weekend at home on April 8th and 9th when they play host to Scranton, Drew and Stevenson. The first match (Scranton) begins on Saturday at 1PM while the Drew and Stevenson matches commence on Sunday at 1PM.
