Goucher Athletics to Kick Off NCAA Division III Week with a Lip Sync Battle for a Cause
Goucher College Athletics is kicking off NCAA Division III Week with its Second Annual Lip Sync Battle on Monday, April 6 at 8:00 p.m. in the Decker Sports & Recreation Center Arena. It's a fun night to start the week and it also supports a great cause, benefiting Special Olympics.
Each team has picked a song and will bring their own creativity, personality, and team spirit to the performance. Women's Lacrosse took home the inaugural title last year, and all eyes will be on who steps up to challenge them this time.
Once all the teams have performed, our judges: Dr. Camp (Vice President of Student Affairs), Vanessa Geffrard (Director of Student Health and Wellness), Tim Moslener (Director of Student Counseling), and Dr. Jonathan Lawton (Assistant Professor of Public Health) will take some time to decide on a winner. While they deliberate, everyone in attendance and watching the livestream will be invited to take part in a one-minute fundraising push for Special Olympics. Donations can be made via Venmo to @Goucher-SAAC.
About NCAA Division III Week
NCAA Division III Week is a nationwide celebration of the Division III student-athlete experience. It highlights the balance of academics, athletics, and involvement that defines DIII, while also recognizing leadership, service, and community impact.
Throughout the week, schools across the country host events that bring these values to life and Goucher's Lip Sync Battle is a great example, bringing people together for a fun night while giving back.
