He finished as the program-record holder in assists (119) and points (273) while ranking second in career goals (154) and games played (70). The Geneva, N.Y., native, was named a USILA Division III All-America Honorable Mention in his senior season after posting a program-record 58 tallies and 86 points along with 28 assists to help the Gophers to their best season in program history with an 18-2 mark. Boncaro was named the 2009 Landmark Conference Rookie of the Year and the all-conference first team in 2009, 2010, and 2012, and the all-conference second team in 2011. He propelled Goucher to a 53-17 overall record, a 21-2 record in conference play, and a 31-7 record in games played in Baltimore during his four seasons. The Gophers won the Landmark Conference Tournament in 2010 and 2012, while the Blue and Gold notched its first NCAA Division III Tournament win in 2012.
"I'm excited to join an elite group of student-athletes in the Hall of Fame, and it is an honor and a privilege," said Boncaro. "Participating in Goucher's men's lacrosse program taught me many life lessons, including the importance of teamwork and camaraderie. Each individual on the team played a paramount role in our success and contributed in their unique way. Being impactful with my actions and holding myself accountable for the benefit of my team was a strong driver for me throughout my college career, and it has led to my professional success. Looking back on my tenure at Goucher, it was an incredible journey, and I'm grateful for those who made a lasting impact on my life."

Swan donned the Gophers' colors from 2005-08 and left as the women's basketball all-time career leader in 3-pointers made (116), 3-point field goal percentage (35.5), and free throw percentage (80.6). She is now second in 3-pointers made, second in points (1,636), third in scoring average (17.5 ppg.), third in field goals made (602), fourth in free throws made (316), and sixth in steals (201) in program history. She was the conference-leading scoring in each of her final three seasons (2005-07 Capital Athletic Conference, 2007-08 Landmark Conference), and she became the third women's basketball player in program history to earn three all-conference selections in her career (2006 All-CAC first team, 2007 All-CAC second team, 2008 All-Landmark first team). Along with leading the conference, Swan ranked 11th in NCAA Division III in scoring in 2005-06 and 15th in 2006-07. The Baltimore, Md., native, became the eighth player in program history to score 1,000 points against Gallaudet on February 6, 2007. Swan was the leading scorer for the Gophers 66 times, while she posted 46 20-game performances and four 30-point games in her career. In a 16-game span in her senior year, Swan recorded 20 points 15 times, and in the game that missed the feat, she scored 19 points. She averaged 24.0 points per game in that stretch, including scoring a career-best 34 points against Christopher Newport on December 1, 2007.
"It is an honor to be inducted into the Goucher Athletics Hall of Fame," said Swan. "My time at Goucher was integral in my development as a woman and coach. As a student-athlete at Goucher, there was always an emphasis placed on being a student first, leading by example, and establishing positive relationships with teammates, which are all principles that were crucial in my coaching journey and developing my coaching philosophy. As a player, my goal was to be a leader on and off the court by helping my teammates grow in any capacity and giving my all each day. Having my hard work recognized at this magnitude is one of the best feelings in the world. I am thankful for my family, coaches, and teammates because, without them, I would not have reached this milestone."
Sharon Weld | Hall of Fame Class of 2020
Field Hockey, W. Basketball, W. Lacrosse | 1967-1970
Weld was a three-sport athlete for Goucher from 1967-70, playing field hockey, women's basketball, and women's lacrosse. She also played for the United States Reserve (1969), United States Touring (1970), and the United States National (1971-74) women's lacrosse teams. She was also a member of the 1973 United States Field Hockey Reserve. In addition, she coached the Goucher field hockey team in 1973 and 1974 and posted a 7-2 record in her first season, the best-known team record to that date. She also was the women's lacrosse head coach in 1974 and 1975 for the Gophers.
"I am very grateful to Goucher for reaching back into the past to recognize an important part of my life, a time that was enlivened by the challenge and camaraderie of sports," said Weld. "It was one of the most important aspects of my college experience. But even more than that, I am grateful that Goucher now recognizes and honors women's athletics as well as it does. I was a participant when women in sports were not taken seriously, so perhaps the most meaningful aspect of this honor for me is to recognize and appreciate all that has grown and changed at the College. My congratulations go to all those who have made Goucher athletics what it is today and to those who will keep it growing into the future."
