Sullivan, Connell Take Two Titles Apiece at Zone IV, Region I Championships

TOWSON, Md. - Kellen Sullivan and Jacob Connell each took home two individual titles as the Goucher College equestrian team hosted the IHSA Zone IV, Region I Championships on Sunday at the Goucher stables.

Sullivan finished as the Region I Champion in Open Fences and Open Flat.  Sullivan was also the High Point Rider for Region I during the regular season and will compete in the Cacchione Cup competition at the Zone IV show on April 6 at Sweet Briar.  He will also compete in the Open Fences and Open Flat competitions, as the top two riders from each region compete at Zones.

Connell captured the Region I title in both Limit Fences and Limit Flat and will also compete at Zones in both categories.

Cordelia Edwards placed third in Intermediate Fences.  Edwards was also awarded the Region I Sportsmanship Award.

Goucher returns to action on Saturday, March 23 at the Spring Classic Tournament of Champions hosted by the University of Findlay (Ohio).
